Terms of Service

Fan+Follow lets people, brands, bands and businesses keep one verified profile containing their official links, and lets fans discover and follow those profiles. We also offer optional paid features such as Direct Message Monetization, promoted placement, sponsorships and partnerships.

We are not a social media network, a content-hosting feed, or a publisher of the content on the platforms we link to. When you leave Fan+Follow through someone's link, you are on that other platform and their rules apply, not ours.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook, LinkedIn or any other platform. Their names and logos are used only to identify the accounts you link.

You can create a Fan+Follow account from age 13, the same minimum age used by YouTube and Google accounts. Where local law sets a higher minimum — for example 16 in parts of the European Union — that higher age applies to you.

If you are between 13 and 17, a parent or legal guardian must review these Terms with you and agree to them on your behalf, and they remain responsible for your use of the Service.

Earning money requires an adult. To turn on Direct Message Monetization, paid content or payouts, the account holder must be 18 or over, or the earnings must be managed by a parent or legal guardian who is 18 or over and who owns the connected payout account. This mirrors how creator monetization works on YouTube and other platforms.

You must give accurate information, keep your login details secure, and you are responsible for everything that happens under your account. One person, one personal profile — you may also manage profiles for brands or businesses you are authorized to represent.

Every profile on Fan+Follow must belong to a real person, or to a real brand or business run by real people. There has to be a face and a human behind the account.

Using AI as a tool is completely allowed and honestly encouraged. Edit with it, write with it, design with it, plan with it, build your business with it — that's the world we're in and we're not pretending otherwise.

What we do not allow is fully AI accounts: AI-created, AI-managed, AI-operated, AI voice, AI face, AI content, with no human standing behind any of it. If an account exists only as a machine output with nobody accountable for it, it doesn't belong here. We don't allow it and we don't promote it.

We may ask you to verify that a real human runs the account, and we may remove accounts that we reasonably believe are fully automated.

No adult or sexually explicit content. Fan+Follow is meant to be clean and professional enough to hand to anyone, at any age, in any setting — a boardroom, a classroom, a family dinner.

No gruesome, violent, graphic, disturbing or exploitative content. No harassment, threats, bullying, hate or attacks on any person or group.

No content whose purpose is to inflame. If something is posted to stir anger, division or chaos — political, religious or otherwise — we may simply remove it. If a subject becomes a problem on the platform, we reserve the right to remove that content across the board rather than take a side.

No illegal activity, scams, impersonation, spam, scraping, or attempts to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the Service.

This applies to your profile, your images, your bio, your links and your messages. Links that lead directly to content that violates these standards are treated the same as posting it here.

You keep ownership of everything you post — your name, photos, bio and links stay yours.

You give us permission to host, display and share that content in order to run the Service and to show your profile in discovery, search, categories and reasonable promotion of the platform. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies already in backups or required by law.

You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload, including photos you didn't take and logos you don't own.

Some profiles exist on Fan+Follow before their owner arrives. We build these from publicly available information so that fans can find and follow real, correct accounts instead of impersonators.

We do not make money from an unclaimed profile. There is no monetization, no paid messaging and no revenue share on a profile until the rightful owner claims it, verifies ownership and chooses to activate those features themselves.

If a profile is yours, you can claim it. Once verified, you control everything on it — the images, the links, the visibility, and whether it earns anything at all. If you'd rather it didn't exist, tell us and we'll remove it.

Memorial profiles keep a legacy findable and are treated with respect. They are never monetized, never used for paid messaging, and never used for promotion or advertising.

Verified family, estates or authorized representatives can ask us to update, correct, memorialize or remove a profile, and we will honour those requests.

Claiming a profile means proving you are the person, or an authorized representative of the brand or business. We may ask for a verification code, a matching official account, government ID, a selfie, or a short video call, depending on the level of verification.

Impersonation — claiming a name or brand that isn't yours or that you aren't authorized to represent — results in removal of the profile and may result in termination of your account.

Verification badges reflect the checks we completed at the time. We can review, adjust or revoke a badge if circumstances change.

Creators can choose to charge for a guaranteed reply — text, photo, voice message, video message, voice call or video call — each with its own price and its own limits shown before payment.

Replies must come from the human behind the account. Paid replies generated entirely by AI, or outsourced in a way that misleads the fan, are not permitted.

Paid messages follow the same content standards as the rest of the Service. Paid does not mean private permission for adult or abusive content, in either direction.

If a creator declines a paid message, or the reply is not delivered within the stated window, the amount is returned to the sender. Once a reply is delivered as described, the payment is final.

Turning monetization on is always the account owner's choice, and it can be turned off at any time. Monetization requires an account holder aged 18 or over, or a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over who manages the earnings and owns the connected payout account.

Payments are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's own terms. We never receive or store your full card number.

Fan+Follow keeps a platform fee on paid direct-message transactions — currently 20% — and the creator keeps the rest, currently 80%. The fee that applies is always the one shown at the time of the transaction.

Payouts go to the payout method you set up and connect. The person who owns that payout account must be 18 or over — for a creator under 18, that will be their parent or legal guardian. Delays can happen where Stripe or a bank requires additional verification.

You are responsible for your own taxes on anything you earn through the Service. We do not provide tax or financial advice.

Promotions and sponsorship placements are paid in advance for the duration shown. We may decline or refund a placement that conflicts with these Terms.

Referral rewards, featured placement and similar incentives are offered at our discretion and under the terms shown in the app at the time. Self-referrals, fake accounts, bots and other manipulation void any reward and may result in account action.

Partnership, endorsement, sponsorship and investor applications submitted through the Service are enquiries only. Submitting one does not create a contract, a partnership, an equity grant or any promise of placement, and nothing in the app is an offer to sell securities.

Any actual arrangement — including equity, endorsement or revenue share — only exists once it is set out in a separate signed written agreement between us.

Figures, projections, valuations and roadmaps shown anywhere in the Service are forward-looking illustrations, not guarantees, and are not investment, legal or financial advice.

Anyone can report a profile or message. We review reports and may hide, remove, restrict, unverify, suspend or terminate content or accounts that break these Terms or create risk for our users.

We aim to act proportionately, and where appropriate we'll tell you what happened and give you a way to respond. Serious cases — safety, exploitation, fraud, impersonation — may be actioned immediately and without notice.

You can hide your account temporarily or delete it permanently at any time from Settings. Deleting removes your profile and associated content, except records we must keep for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms, harm other users, or create legal risk for the Service. Pending balances owed to you remain payable except where withheld for fraud or chargebacks.

The Fan+Follow name, wordmark, logos and design are ours. You may not copy them, use them to suggest a partnership that doesn't exist, or build a competing service using our branding. Claiming a profile does not give you rights to our brand.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee uninterrupted access, that a profile will grow, that a paid reply will meet your expectations, or that another user will behave well.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fan+Follow is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, opportunities or data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the previous three months or USD $100.

You agree to cover us for claims arising from your content, your links, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we'll update the date at the top and let you know in the app where appropriate. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.

One set of Terms applies to everyone, everywhere. Fan+Follow operates from the United States, and these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and the federal laws of the United States, with the state and federal courts located in Florida having jurisdiction.

If you use the Service from Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom or anywhere else, the mandatory consumer protection and privacy rights of your home country still apply to you, and nothing here takes them away.
